General Servicing
At DLM, we offer expert vehicle servicing to keep your car performing at its best. We provide professional, reliable service tailored to your needs. Whether it’s a daily driver or a track car, we ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.
Health Reports
With every vehicle that enters our workshop, we recommend commissioning a paid diagnostic report. This helps to outline the vehicle’s overall condition and provides a clear baseline from which to maintain and support its long-term longevity.
We can also supply detailed reports focusing on specific areas, such as in-depth engine diagnostics or the investigation of more niche or complex issues.
Engine Swaps
We also carry out engine conversion projects. Our team has experience installing M52B28 engines into BMW E34 models, as well as Toyota 2JZ engines into Nissan S13 chassis.
Each conversion is completed with careful planning and the correct supporting modifications to ensure reliability, performance, and a factory-quality finish.
Race / Drift Car Convertions
Welding and Fabrication
We also specialise in building race and drift cars. Give us almost any vehicle and we can transform it into a purpose-built track machine.
From a Subaru Forester track build, to an MK2 Mazda MX-5 drift car, or even an E36 BMW Nürburgring track tool, we have the experience to take a concept and turn it into a properly prepared performance car. Each build is approached with careful planning to ensure the car is reliable, capable, and suited to its intended use.
We also provide professional welding and fabrication services, including the repair and replacement of sills and internal jacking points. All work is carried out to a high standard, with a focus on restoring the vehicle’s structural integrity while maintaining a neat, factory-quality finish wherever possible.
Manual Swaps
We also have a passion for manual gearbox conversions and and can convert almost any automatic vehicle to a manual configuration. Our experience includes projects such as manual-swapping a Toyota Soarer using a BMW ZF 6-speed gearbox, as well as converting BMW E34 models from automatic to manual.
With the correct components and careful installation, we are able to carry out manual conversions on a wide range of vehicles, improving driver engagement and long-term reliability.

Our Work
Toyota Soarer Automatic BMW ZF 6 Speed Manual Conversion
A Toyota came in for a gearbox swap — we fitted a 6-speed ZF from an E60 525d to pair with the 1JZ-GTE. The original gearbox had suffered damage due to an unbalanced propshaft. We recovered the car after the customer finished work, got it into the workshop, and had it back up and running by the next working day.
All are customers cars are cleaned before collection with a 2 bucket wash method
BMW E36 328ia M/sport Restoration
Nick’s E36 328i came to DLM as a clean, original example needing a new lease of life. We began with a full engine replacement, fitting a healthy M52 straight-six along with key upgrades like a new water pump, gaskets, and fluids built for reliability and longevity.
Phase two focused on recommissioning for MOT: structural rust repairs at the jacking points and sills, a new starter motor, indicator wiring, and a gearbox seal replacement. Cosmetic finishing touches like a fresh nose cone and slam panel complete the look.
This build is a perfect example of what we do best preserving original character while ensuring mechanical strength and road-ready performance.

The Motorport UK Academy is a talent development pathway that equips the UK's most promising young drivers with the knowledge, skills and attitude needed to maximise their performance.
Launched in 2009, the two-year Motorsport UK Academy AASE in Motor Sport programme is delivered in conjunction with Loughborough College, ranked outstanding by Ofsted. The programme is essentially a sports science course focusing on all of the human performance elements that combine to create highly skilled and successful drivers.
PROJECT ONE
Project One Racing was established in 1986 and has grown into one of the most professional and highly regarded race teams within the karting industry, manufacturing very successful and competitive karts for the Honda Cadet and Bambino classes.
We have multiple British, National and Club Championship accolades to our name as well as '0' plate success with many drivers progressing and excelling in all ranks of European Karting and Car racing. We have won Ten Honda Cadet '0' plates to date and are multiple British champions.
We are based at Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit and are a company renowned for our friendly and helpful customer service, which is second to none.
HILLS MOTORSPORT
The team is run by Daren Hills, who has over 35 years of Motorsport experience, in lots of different disciplines. He started Racing at 16 years old on short ovals, and went on to race on the circuits in Legend Cars. In 2005 he retired to allow Aidan to race in go karts, from then on he has always been his mechanic and driver coach and they have become a very successful dad and lad team winning 5 titles including 2 British titles. They are now planning to expand and bring people into the closely nit team, and help people become succesful in motorsport.

Dyslexia. Understanding the difference: Making the difference
Established in 1985, we are a specialist school for dyslexic children in Years 3-11 where all children participate on a level playing field with their dyslexic peers. Children are taught strategies to enable them to understand and overcome barriers to learning and gain the confidence to be independent, positive learners.
